Five Delta Estate Wines have been awarded 90 points or more at the 2025 International Wine Challenge, the world’s most rigorous, impartial and influential wine competition.
Each wine entered into the challenge is subjected to multiple rounds of blind tasting in a judging process designed to guarantee integrity and fairness across the board.
It was Chardonnay that shone for Delta, with Hatters Hill Chardonnay 2022, Hatters Hill Chardonnay 2023 and Delta Chardonnay 2023 each awarded 93 points, while Delta Sauvignon Blanc 2024 and Hatters Hill Pinot Noir 2022 each received 90 points.
More than 500 judges from over 40 countries are involved in the judging process, bringing a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences together for the task of tasting a random selection of the challenge wines.
This year, they were led by distinguished co-chairs Tim Atkin MW, Sam Caporn MW, Oz Clarke, Dr Jamie Goode, Peter McCombie MW, and Helen McGinn - who meticulously tasted every wine entered into the competition.
The International Wine Challenge provides an opportunity for us to benchmark our wines against the best in the world, and we were thrilled with this year’s results.
