If you’re a self-confessed wine nerd, you’ll know James Suckling Wine Ratings are considered a gold standard amongst wine enthusiasts throughout the world.
With this in mind, it came with surprise and delight to see that Delta Estate’s flagship Hatters Hill Pinot Noir 2021 has been listed in James Suckling’s Top-100 Wines of New Zealand 2023.
Positioned in a list of greats that includes wineries such as Craggy Range, Rippon and Bell Hill, it’s a real privilege to know our wine is considered in the top rankings.
Scoring 94 points out of 100, the wine was described as:
“A bright and intense pinot with sliced ripe strawberries, citrus and hints of smoke and thyme. It’s full-bodied with firm and fine tannins and a bright and vivid finish. Well-crafted and thoughtful. Sustainable. Drink or hold. Screw cap.”
