The Delta Wine Company's flagship Chardonnay, our Hatters Hill Chardonnay 2018.
New Release: This Chardonnay shows bold and spicy characters with flavours of ripe figs, vanilla spice and freshly toasted pine nuts.
The fruit predominantly comes from a vineyard in the south of Marlborough, a unique spot with limestone soils which in turn draw out mineral notes within the Chardonnay. Fermented in a combination of new and old French oak barriques, this wine shows vibrant stone fruits and vanilla spice. Subtle hints of ginger and cardamom lead to a long and toasty finish.

This is stunningly attractive; the inviting bouquet shows nectarine, fig, lemon peel, vanilla and roasted cashew characters, followed by a concentrated palate that is wonderfully weighted and flavoursome. The wine offers impressive complexity and multi-layered mouthfeel, finishing impressively long and delectable. At its best: now to 2022.
