The first vintage took place in 2004, between 2 April and 10 April, and was harvested by hand. 2004 started with high bunch numbers and continued with excellent weather during flowering. It was an average vintage in terms of timing, but had potential to be a large crop. We reduced the crop in some areas just after full-size had been reached so that the berry size would be small and the wines would have good structure. The wines from 2004 have very lifted perfume and strong Pinot Noir characters.
