Good to see some more affordable pinot noir options coming out of New Zealand.
The basic flavours of this wine are good. It tastes of dark cherries and violets and has more than a lick of spice, though it’s most characterised by its rusty, minerally tannins.
It’s not lengthy but it’s satisfying enough. I’d hoped for a little more, but at the price it’s pretty decent.
